The Huntress


One of the feature lots in The Russell and Shirley Hodgson Collection, Seraphine Pick's
The Huntress (with Wall Flowers), which featured prominently in her recent retrospective and which adorns the cover of Sarah Laing's novel Dead People's Music, sold today in a negotiated post-auction sale for $30 000.

Important Paintings and Contemporary Art: Preview Thursday Night

We open the viewing for the upcoming sale of Important Paintings and Contemporary Art this Thursday night. From 5:00 - 6:00pm we will have members of the Times Group Collection in to preview their collection and from 6:00 - 8:00pm we will be open to the public. Important Paintings and Contemporary Art: April 26th

Our next auction of Important Paintings and Contemporary Art will take place on April 26th. It constitutes a fine, large and varied offering of some 140 lots. Along with works from various, anonymous vendors the catalogue includes ten paintings from a Wellington estate, including the above painting by Michael Illingworth, two exquisite works by C. F Goldie from the estate of David Collinson, as well as the collection of the art buying group, The Times Collection. The catalogue goes to print tonight and will be available online later this week. The auction goes on view from next Friday, the 20th.
