A+O makes iphone application a reality for NZ auctions

A+O WINS GOLD AT ANNUAL PRIDE IN PRINT AWARDS


Another gold medal (and this time not everyone got one...) for A+O at last weeks National Pride in Print awards in Wellington. We were nominated by Geon and won gold in the Promotional Print section for our 2011 catalogue featuring Selected Works from the Estate of A. Lois White.

Gravity Festival: Make Photography A Spectator Sport



As part of the New Zealand Festival of Photography, ART+OBJECT is participating in The Gravity Festival Circuit which runs between 6:00pm and 9:00pm on the evening of Tuesday 7th of June. You can be picked up and dropped off free of charge at nine photography exhibitions throughout the city including shows at Antoinette Godkin Gallery, Auckland Art Lounge, Anna Miles Gallery, Artstation and more.

We are in production for our next catalogue which will essentially comprise of three sales: The Martin Hill Collection of Post-War Ceramics, The Michael Seresin Collection of International Black and White Photographs, and Important New Zealand and International Contemporary Photographs. The catalogue, whilst containg a number of important and world-class pots and photographs by New Zealanders, is most notable for the breadth and quality of international artworks including pieces by Lucie Rie, Hans Coper, Shoji Hamada, Michael Cardew, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Bill Brandt, Thomas Ruff, Bill Henson, Kim Joon, Patricia Piccinini and many more. A+O is today delighted to have been privileged with the consignment of this very major painting by the late, great Aboriginal master Emily Kame Kngwarreye who didn't begin painting until in her 80s. Among the most sought after of the artist's works are her late works completed in the reduced palette of black and white and which take as their subject the artist's dreaming, the yam plant. The auction is scheduled for August 18th and further entries are now invited.
