A+O's Fifth Contemporary Art+Object Sale

Our June 11th Contemporary Art and Objects sale went swimmingly. The sale by volume rate was very high for this country, with around %70 selling under the hammer on the night. Of the above illustrated works, Peter Stichbury's Joe Gruver made $17 110, whilst Michael Parekwohai's Larry Vickers and Elmer Keith realised $4790 and $5700 respectively. Other highlights included: Martin Poppelwell's Shanghai Clipping $14 825, Francis Upritchard's Gesturing Bronze $20 530, Yvonne Todd's Clinique Consultant $7700, Peter Robinson's I Exist... $12 545, Richard Maloy's Blue Flowers $2965 and Chris Heaphy's Walking Aids $9125. Highlights in the Object sale included: Barry Brickell, Fatso Jug $1368, Len Castle Red Lava Bowl $2167, Sophie Tekela-Smith $365o and Kingsley Baird's Investigation into Scale $5475.

On The Road Again







A+O will preview selected highlights from their excellent upcoming July 30th catalogue in Wellington. We will be at the excellent Chaffers Gallery again in the Chaffers Dock Complex from the 9th to the 13th of July. The catalogue represents a particularly strong offering, carefully thought through and tailored for the current market. Response to our Wellington viewing was overwhelming last time and we can only hope that Wellingtonians come out to support a few Aucklanders again. Further details coming soon...
